Holy Comic Books Batman!

So hey, I love drawing, who would have thought it? Not me for sure but this writing and drawing gig is really taking my imagination to a new level. I have the fever and I am running with it. I've finished five comics and have six more penciled waiting for the ink and many others in the developement stage. I really have learned a lot doing all of this and I think it will prove to be a good fun thing for this year of productions. Once the equipment comes in I'll start with animation so the world may enjoy my twisted sense of humor. Love to all. I'll post some of the books up sometime when I get a chance to find my scanner.

Alice in Post, Texas

I have been working with the Garza Theater and, director, Heather Rushing painting the sets for Alice in Wonderland. I am so excited about the play, I've been painting all week and most of last week. Everyone seems to think I'm doing a good job, so yeah me! I'll post some photos soon. Come see the show in Post, Texas at the Garza Theater June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22.

My First Comic Book!!!!!!

At the 24 hour comic event I made a stick comic about my favorite game, The Kingdom of Loathing. I liked making comics so much that I kept it going with some strips and an epilogue to the first issue. The second comic is due out here in a week or so. But the first has sold out twice. I sold out at the Expo and I made another printing and sold the last one two days ago. I love drawing these guys and people seem to like reading them, so WOOT! for everybody. The Lubbock Comic Expo

On May 3rd The Sketch Club made history here in the South Plains. Lubbock held our very first pure comic expo! Set at the Science Spectrum and coordinated by some very talented folks, the Expo was an outstanding hit! 777 people joined in the fun, not to mention all of our panel guests, volunteers and other sponsors that gave their weekends to make this happen. We all worked so hard and I am so proud of the Sketch Club for making this happen. I did my fair share toward the end but the credit falls on Will Terrell and Robert Mora of Star Comics.This was their brainchild and what a success! I'm proud to call you friends!

Sketch Club Figure Drawing

Sketch Club hosts a drawing group that focuses on the nude figure. This is a great chance to learn human anatomy and structure while getting great tips from experienced artists with constructive critiques. I did my best to respect Alex's posing by keeping her time on camera as modest as possible. She is often a model for the group but there are many others, including males.
